Activities
We have a dedicated team of activity coordinators who organise fun and interesting activities according to individual resident’s needs.
Dancing
Better than anything our residents love to get up, dance and sing along to music. It is a great form of fun exercise!!
Embroidery
This craft is enjoyed by our residents who make items to sell in our Christmas fayre or for gifts for family members.
Arts & Crafts
There is a wealth of different arts and crafts which are enjoyed. There is always a theme running throughout the home i.e Springtime, Easter and Christmas to name a few. Crafts are made to match the theme and some items are also made for our Christmas Fayre bonanza.
Live Music
We have monthly live music which is usually themed for example country music or 1960’s where the residents are encouraged to dress up and dance or tap their feet!
Planting
We have lovely outdoor spaces at Moorgate for the residents to enjoy. We have a raised garden area where herbs, vegetables and other plants are grown and tended to by the residents.
Animals
We have our own small group of pets to take care of, 2 Guinea Pigs, a cat and some chickens. We welcome well-behaved dogs to visit the home and we have visits from the local donkey sanctuary and love to have other animals to visit.
Outdoor Putting Green
The small putting green is a big hit in the summer months and is often enjoyed with a glass (or 2) of Pimms.
